The CANopen Store is operated by Embedded Systems Academy, Inc. Embedded Systems Academy, Inc. has been in business since August 1999 and specialises in products, training and consulting in Embedded Systems, with a particular focus on CAN and CANopen. We are dedicated to providing high quality products and services for businesses large and small and pride ourselves on our ability to fullfill our promises.

Employees of Embedded Systems Academy, Inc. have published one of the best selling books on CANopen®, Embedded Networking with CAN and CANopen.

Tax, Shipping and Handling

Shipping rates are calculated based on the weight and destination of your order. You can see your shipping charge during the order process. Shipments are normally delivered by courier within three to seven working days.

Depending on your shipping address the shipment may be fulfilled by one of our contractual partners worldwide.

Software purchased without hardware is not charged shipping and handling.

To download, click on the red "Download Now" button on the payment confirmation page. Downloads will be made available for a minimum of one week after payment.

Some products require an Activation Code to function. You will be Emailed the Activation Code after payment. If you do not receive an Activation Code within 24 hours, then contact canopenstoresupport@esacademy.com.

Products that include hardware are normally shipped within 24 hours of the order being placed. Please allow longer at weekends and holidays. Shipping times are calculated from the moment your order leaves the warehouse.

California Residents

All products (electronic downloads) sold without hardware are exempt from sales tax. Currently we do not offer software and hardware bundles to shipping addresses in California. Hardware can be purchased from Phytec. Hardware sold to a Californian company with a shipping address outside of California are exempt from sales tax. All services (such as training and consulting) are exempt from sales tax.

European Residents

Please place your order with our European store for faster delivery and prices in Euros.

Everyone Else

If we do not charge sales tax, please check with your local laws to find out if you need to pay local sales or use tax yourself. It is the responsibility of the customer to check and pay any such items.

Countries Not Listed in the Order Form

If your country is not listed in the order form, please contact us for a quote on the products you desire, including shipping.

International Shipping

Some customers may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.

Additionally, when ordering from us, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. Please note that we are required by law to accurately list both the contents of the package, and list the customs value of the package as the amount you paid for the order.

If you either refuse the shipment or refuse payment of any customs charges, we reserve the right to either bill your credit card or deduct the return shipping charges from any credit you may receive. In addition, you are responsible for return shipping charges any item(s) not allowed to be imported to your country.

Return Policy

Any product may be returned within 30 days from the date of sale for a full refund minus shipping and handling charges. You must pay for return shipping charges. We will not be responsible for lost items, so we recommend a service that provides tracking numbers and insurance is used. All original packaging, CDs and documentation must be present and undamaged.

For downloaded products, all copies of the downloaded files must be destroyed. A written document signed by an authorized representative of your company (able to sign contracts on behalf of your company) must be mailed stating all files were destroyed. The document must include the activation code and name of the product destroyed, and the name and title of the person signing the document.

To return a product please first contact us for an RMA number. Please write this number clearly on the outside of the packaging. Returns without an RMA number will not be accepted.

Refunds will only be issued to the same credit card used to make the purchase of the returned product. Please allow up to three weeks for acknowledgement of receipt of a returned product and the refund to be issued.

All pricing and descriptions are subject to change without notice. We endeavor to keep descriptions of products as accurate as possible.

Support and Updates

For the support and update policy of PEAK, please visit their site or contact them before purchasing any PEAK hardware, software or drivers.

For all other products, support and updates (software only, most software) are provided from The CANopen Store for up to one year after the date of purchase. Updates for most products may be obtained from here. In the event that a product is discontinued, updates will not be provided beyond the final release. Support is provided by Email only. Please contact us.

Errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price, with incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed under these conditions. We shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders and correct any disparities whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge. We reserve the right to refuse any order. Prices and policies are subject to change without prior notice.
